Exercise Science

In the Exercise Science program, students choose one of two tracks which lead to non-teaching career options.

The Exercise Science track prepares students for careers in strength and conditioning, exercise leadership, and personal training, among others. Many students continue on to graduate studies in exercise science. Courses include learning objectives for the American College of Sports Medicine’s Health Fitness Specialist certification.

The Pre-Physical Therapy track is for students who are interested in applying exercise science to careers including, but not limited to, physical therapy, physician assistant, nutrition, and nursing. This program is designed so the student may fulfill prerequisite courses necessary for application to professional school programs, while studying exercise science.
