Ruth S. Ammon Lecture

A series of lectures by noted speakers in the field of education.

The Ruth S. Ammon Lecture in Education Series brings noted speakers in the field of education to campus for the benefit of Adelphi students, faculty, and the larger community. The Ruth S. Ammon Lecture in Education Series is made possible thanks to the generosity of alumna and former trustee, Carol A. Ammon, M.B.A. ’79, ’10 (Hon.).

In 2006, Carol Ammon made an extraordinary gift to the University in support of education students and faculty and to honor her mother, an education alumna who graduated from Adelphi. In gratitude of Carol Ammon’s transformational support, Adelphi named the Ruth S. Ammon School of Education in memory of her mother, Ruth S. Ammon ’42, a gifted second grade teacher and an inspiration to her daughter.
