IT Student Worker of the Month: August 2014

The staff of the Office of Information Technology would like to congratulate

Melissa Uretsky

Student Worker of the Month for August 2014

Melissa has been working in the Office of Information Technology since June 2014 as Student Inventory Assistant for the CIO Admin team. She is a graduate student at Adelphi and expects to receive her M.S. in Speech-Language Pathology in 2016. Melissa enjoys listening to music, traveling and hanging out with her family.

Here are some of the comments we received from IT staff members and other student workers who nominated her:

“Melissa has helped make many improvements in IT Inventory. She has taken great initiative by keeping IT storage areas neat and organized in her few short months here in IT. She has a bubbly personality and great customer service skills that makes her easy to work beside. I expect great things from Melissa during her time here in IT.”

“Melissa is truly an asset to our CIO Admin Team. She has great initiative and is always willing to lend a hand to ensure success of a task or project. She has made many great strides in the organization and verification of all IT equipment. Her commitment to the department and and dedication to excellent work is truly appreciated. I look forward to all her future accomplishments within IT.”

About IT’s Employee of the Month Nominations

It is important to demonstrate our appreciation for the contributions of our student workers to their teams, to the Office of Information Technology, and to Adelphi University as a whole. At the end of each month, we will honor one student worker who has demonstrated commitment, leadership, and initiative in their position. The recipient will be presented with a certificate and gift, as well as a featured spot on our IT website.
