We encourage you to submit presentations that address the following topics:

  • Assessment Tools and Strategies
  • Bias Education
  • Classroom Management
  • Conflict Resolution
  • Consumer Health Education
  • Diversity Education
  • Grief/Loss/Post Traumautic Stress
  • HIV/AIDS/Sexually Transmitted Infections
  • Innovative Teaching Strategies
  • Nutrition
  • Peer Mediation
  • Service Learning Strategies
  • Sexuality Education
  • Social/Emotional Learning
  • Stress Management
  • Violence Prevention

Suggestions
This meeting is about demanding excellence and we encourage proposals that address current health issues, raise provocative questions, engage participants in discussion, and foster dialogue before, during, and after the conference itself. Your proposals will be evaluated on these criteria.

We suggest that you: 

  • make your presentation interactive 
  • provide resources: handouts, teaching aids, pamphlets, etc.
  • address a diversity of learning styles.

Selection Process
The content selection process is overseen by the Conference Steering Committee and guided by feedback from participants at previous conferences. Selection is made based on the relevance of the proposal in relation to conference themes, the persons experience and knowledge, and whether the proposal has been included in previous conferences.
