This web-based HIV/AIDS course is designed for educational professionals whose responsibilities include teaching students about the prevention of STDs, HIV, and unintended pregnancy. Analysis includes risk and protective factors, youth culture, media, current youth behavior patterns and the influence of school and community.

The curriculum is framed in a best practice Coordinated School Health approach with clear connections to the Guidance Document for Achieving the NYS Standards in Health Education. The course is open to both nonmatriculating and matriculating graduate students as well as upper-level undergraduates, and teachers working in the field.
