Students learn to use exercise, sport, games, and dance in age-appropriate programs for children, adolescents, adults, and seniors. Through a multidisciplinary approach, students gain the skills necessary to work with individuals and diverse groups in a variety of settings such as schools, community health centers, hospitals, recreation centers, and the workplace.
Dual Certification Degree
While students may prefer to specialize in physical education, the department does offer a dual certification program in health and physical education. Students who choose to complete the dual certification must fulfill the required course work in physical education, as well as additional course work in health education.
