The New York City Department of Education has two scholarship programs that Communication Sciences and Disorders students may be interested in:
Students Aiming for NYS Certification as Teachers of Students with Speech-Language Disabilities
This program reimburses tuition (57-67 credits including Child Development, Schools and Society, and Health Prep, and SPH561). Bilingual Extension to the Teachers of Students with Speech-Language Disabilities
ITI (The Intensive Teacher Institute in Bilingual/ESL and Special Education). You need school district support/Superintendent signature to apply. They are supporting preschool personnel as well. Contact ITI at 631.286.6551.
