Special Education | M.S. Plan of Study - Advanced Certificate in Early Childhood Special Education, Birth through Grade 2

Please Note: This program leads to certification in early childhood special education; it does not provide a degree. The program is intended for candidates who already hold certification in early childhood, have a master's degree (needed for professional or permanent certification), and are seeking additional training and certification.

ECS 620 Introduction to Inclusive Early Childhood Special Education: Preschool through Primary (FW)

Early Childhood Special Education Advanced Sequence (9 Credits)

ECS 700 Authentic Infant and Early Childhood Identification, Assessment, and Progress Evaluation (FW)
ECS 710 Inclusive Curriculum, Methods, and Teaming for Infants and Young Children with Disabilities (FW)
ECS 720 Applied Behavioral Analysis and Positive Behavioral Support: Self, Individual, and Group Management in Early Childhood (25 hrs FW) (Prerequisite: ECS 700)

Practicum and Seminar in Early Childhood Special Education (3 Credits)
Either ECS 880, 890, 891, or 892 Practicum in Early Childhood Special Education and Clinical Seminar
