Please note: This 37 credit program of study will take a minimum of two years (two fall semesters and two spring semesters) for students required to student teach.

Important Notes on Course Sequences
  1. 0809-603 Adolescent Development and 0810-560 Managing Inclusive Environments must be taken together in the same semester. There will be a total of 50 hours field work required during this semester. These courses are only offered together in the fall and spring.

  2. 0809-513 Instruction and Assessment in Math Education and 0809-613 Secondary Math Content, Pedagogy and Assessment: Learning from Master Teachers must be taken in final semester before Student Teaching and cannot be taken in the summer. 0803-511 Instruction and Assessment in English Education requires 50 hours of field work.

  3. 0807-825 Masters Seminar: Inquiry in Teaching and Learning must be taken in final semester before Student Teaching and cannot be taken in the summer.

  4. All sequence one courses must be completed before enrolling in sequence two courses and all sequence two courses must be completed before enrolling in sequence three courses, with the exception of 0834-610 Health Promotion for Teachers, which may be taken prior to completion of sequence two courses.

  5. All sequence one, two, and three courses and Assessment Point 3 are prerequisites for 0809-830 Student Teaching in Adolescence Education.
