SPH 603: Language Disorders In Children I

An in-depth study of language development and disorders in infants, toddlers and preschoolers. Emphasis will be on clinical assessment and intervention in natural, social contexts. The importance of emergent literacy, technology, team collaboration, and normal learning processes will be highlighted. Populations considered will include children with specific language impairment (SLI), sensory integration disorder (SI), attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), pervasive developmental disorder (PDD), and central auditory processing disorder (CAPD).
