Amy Roy, Ph.D.

Please join us for the inaugural lecture of the Lindemann Lectures in Neuroscience series, as the Gordon F. Derner School of Psychology and the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders welcome Amy Roy, Ph.D., Associate Professor of Psychology at Fordham University, who will discuss her work with children that exhibit severe temper outbursts. She will discuss the characteristic behaviors that these children present, as well as recent data examining the brain mechanisms underlying these behaviors. 


About the Speaker

Dr. Amy Roy is an Associate Professor of Psychology at Fordham University where she is the director of the Pediatric Emotion Regulation Laboratory (PERL) and the Director of the Undergraduate Integrative Neuroscience Program. She is also an adjunct Associate Professor of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at the NYU Langone School of Medicine. Dr. Roy received her B.A. in Psychology from Princeton University and her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Temple University. She completed her post-doctoral training at the NYU Langone School of Medicine.
