
Dr. Perry Greene |
Associate Dean Perry Greene joined Adelphi University Ruth S. Ammon School of Education in fall 2005. He brings more than 30 years of experience in K-12 education and higher education, which includes an extensive background in teaching, program development, enrollment management, policy development, and faculty professional development. Prior to his Adelphi appointment, he served as associate dean of the College of Education and Human Services at Montclair State University, associate dean for Industry and Professional Programs at New York University's School of Continuing and Professional Studies, and campus director of the College of New Rochelle's School of New Resources (Brooklyn campus). He has taught English at the elementary, secondary, and college level.
Dedicated to the field of teacher education, his research has focused on issues that relate to language, race, and the urban environment. He is a member of the National Council of Teachers of English, National Network for Educational Renewal, American Association of Colleges of Teacher Education, and American Association for Adult and Continuing Education.
He holds a Ph.D. in English education, an M.A. in media ecology, and a B.S. in English education from New York University.
