The first stage of reaccreditation is the rigorous approval of accreditation by specific program content areas. All 16 programs who submitted such reports are nationally recognized by their Specialized Professional Association (SPA).

Our Mission

The Adelphi University Ruth S. Ammon School of Education is a school on the move. Throughout its programs for the preparation of teachers and other school professionals, we are committed to putting our words into action. To this end, we’ve put a renewed emphasis on such critical stances as: valuing teacher research; building meaningful school and community partnerships; infusing diversity and social justice issues throughout the curriculum; translating theory into practice for teachers and learners; embracing the whole learner in everything we do; and recognizing the creative elements inherent to the art of teaching and learning.
