Teacher candidates who have completed their program of study at the Ruth S. Ammon School of Education have also been highly successful at passing their New York State Teacher Certification Exams.

New York State requires all teacher candidates to pass 4 exams: the educative Teacher Performance Assessment (edTPA), the Educating All Students test (EAS), the Academic Literacy Skills Test (ALST), and the appropriate Content Specialty Test (CST). These exams were implemented or revised in New York State in 2014. The edTPA is being used by over 500 educator preparation programs in 34 states and the District of Columbia.
